Runnong Water-saving: Winning through "Intelligence"

On May 21, 2022, a delegation of government leaders including Wu Guoding, Vice Governor of Henan Province, and Chen Zhisheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Henan Provincial Government, conducted an on-site inspection of the high-standard farmland projects in Baofeng County and Ye County, which were constructed by Runnong Water-saving. Zhou Bin, Secretary of the CPC Pingdingshan Municipal Committee, Zhang Leiming, Mayor of Pingdingshan, Xu Hongbing, Secretary of the CPC Baofeng County Committee, Wang Daiqiang, Magistrate of Baofeng County, and other municipal and county-level leaders accompanied the inspection.

During the on-site meeting, company leaders of Runnong Water-saving, including Chairman Xue Baosong, Chief Expert Men Qi, and Deputy Sales General Manager Jin Fuquan, provided detailed briefings and on-site demonstrations on the specific conditions of the smart agriculture construction projects in Baofeng County and Ye County to leaders at the provincial, municipal, and county levels. Wu Guoding, Vice Governor of Henan Province, spoke highly of and praised Runnong Water-saving's smart agriculture projects in Baofeng County, Ye County, and other areas.

The 2020 High-standard Farmland Construction Projects in Baofeng County and Ye County, Henan Province, are premium benchmark projects of domestic smart agriculture built by Runnong Water-saving over a 10-month period. A "Smart Agricultural Internet of Things Management Platform" has been established, enabling pipelined irrigation water conveyance, information-based irrigation management, intelligent irrigation control, and precise water and fertilizer management. The annual water savings can reach 350,000 cubic meters, annual fertilizer savings can amount to 116,900 yuan, and grain yield can increase by 15%-20%.

Moreover, by integrating agricultural green development with the quality and safety of agricultural products, an IoT big data platform covering meteorology, soil, pest infestations, soil moisture, and agricultural product traceability has been established. This platform enables digital management of remote intelligent diagnosis information on agricultural conditions, networked transmission, and graphical analysis, making the project a veritable "smart agriculture" initiative.

The Smart Agricultural Big Data Management Platform of Hebei Runnong Water-saving in Baofeng and Ye Counties has introduced the plant carbon sequestration big data from the Service Platform of China Meteorological Remote Sensing Center for the first time in China, providing a basis for the estimation of crop carbon sinks and yields in the future.

The successful completion of the smart agriculture projects in Baofeng and Ye Counties has set a benchmark for the industry, led the development of domestic smart agriculture, and demonstrated Runnong Water-saving's strong strength in the field of agricultural construction.
